The One-SAF Graphical User’s Interface project developed an intuitive user interface to the US Army’s premier simulation driver.
This project developed an intuitive game-style Graphical User’s Interface (GUI) to One-SAF, the US Army’s premier simulation driver. Through development of a new GUI, the Army sought to dramatically reduce the time needed to train operator “pucksters” in the use of One-SAF. Game-like iconography, “3D” map views and human factors-based organization of data demonstrated how the One-SAF operator’s experience could successfully be transformed.
CTI principals conceived and led this project while at the University of Southern California’s Institute for Creative Technologies. One-SAF GUI was delivered to the Government in September 2005.
