A paper CTI co-authored with colleagues at Leidos and Carnegie Melon University has been recognized as a Best Paper in Category by the 2014 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference, I/ITSEC. The paper, “Missing: A Serious Game for the Mitigation of Cognitive Biases,” describes the science behind the CTI-developed application. “Missing” has demonstrated significant potential as a training aid for the mitigation of cognitive bias.
Promoting cooperation among the Armed Services, Industry, Academia and various Government agencies in pursuit of improved training and education programs, I/ITSEC, now in its 48th year, is the definitive annual gathering of modeling, simulation, and training professionals in the U.S. defense domain.
