Today, CTI won its first Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract. An effort of the U.S. Navy Office of Naval Research, the project’s goal is to develop a next-generation maintenance training capability.
Established in 1982, the SBIR program encourages R&D in the small business sector to help meet the research needs of the federal government and spur commercial development. CTI, known for its novel, immersive virtual training applications, leads a team including intelligent tutoring/cognitive modeling experts (UtopiaCompression), learning sciences expertise (Dr. Richard Mayer, UC Santa Barbara), and Naval maintenance training expertise (Tri-State Training Analysis).
