A PC based tactical training application for platoon leaders.
Developed under a Technology Sharing Agreement with the Government of Singapore and the United States Army, Full Spectrum Leader (FSL) focuses on infantry Platoon Leader tactical decision-making. In virtual operations conducted around the McKenna MOUT site in Fort Benning and the Silvy MOUT site in Singapore, students practice the fundamentals of platoon-level resource management, Operations Orders, mission planning, task organization, Fragmentary Orders and tactical decision-making. Students also gain practice in nine-line CASEVAC and in the procedural basics of call for fire and close air support. An After Action Review component aids further in student learning.
CTI principals conceived and led this project while at the University of Southern California’s Institute for Creative Technologies. The application was delivered to the Government in 2005.
