Soldiers and engineers talk about the first Soldier employment of Future Combat Systems technologies and the testing and evaluation that led to it. The Experiment 1.1: A Soldier?s Perspective video documents the first soldier employment of key Future Combat Systems (FCS) technologies as part of the multi-phase Experiment 1.1 effort. Imagery and interviews focus on the people behind the technologies; those who build them and the soldiers who will use them. Less concerned with the experiment itself than the effect FCS technologies could have on tomorrow?s battlefield, the video is narrated by Soldiers and engineers filmed in the process of experimentation and testing. The Soldiers speak from the perspective of combat veterans who?ve experienced the power and impact of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Squad robots, Unattended Ground Sensors and intelligent munitions during simulated combat exercises. Filmed on location at the United States Army?s White Sands Missile Range and Fort Bliss, Texas during the train-up to and conduct of the capstone, CTI designed, produced and simulcast the Live Soldier Exercise (see Live Demonstration section).
